Company Of Women

Release date: Out now Label: KeyMedia Group

Denise Marsa has long dreamed of returning to the charts, unsure when or how—until May 2024, when the first of five remixes from her third studio album PIVOTAL, “Kiss Me in the Rain,” hit the UK dance Top 10. Thanks to her dynamic collaborations with Until Dawn and the powerhouse promo team at Eurosolution, Marsa’s music has been heating up dance floors across the UK for the past year.

Now, with “Company of Women”—a poignant, resonant single celebrating the power of belonging—Marsa comes full circle. This empowering pop anthem honors connection, courage, and the strength found in sisterhood. It also marks the first official remix release from her forthcoming fourth studio album, RISK AND HEAL.

Craig Jones of Eurosolution, the team behind Marsa’s club success, explains: "To do well on the dance charts, DJs and their crowds must love the track—that’s what generates spins, and that’s how hits are tracked by Music Week and their dance charts. The music has to be top quality—it’s what makes a night unforgettable. We’re thrilled with the momentum Denise Marsa has, and we’re very excited about Company of Women."

Marsa’s club success dates back to 1985, when her voice powered the #12 international Billboard hit “Helpless (You Took My Love)” by the disco-pop group The Flirts. “I was brought in to replace a voice,” Marsa shares. “It was my second studio session—the first being ‘Lucky Stars’ with Dean Friedman—and when both songs charted, I took it for granted that charting would just continue.”

After two music publishing deals—with Warner Bros. in London in the mid-’80s, and Warner/Chappell in Los Angeles in the early ’90s—Marsa launched her own label, KeyMedia Group, in 1998 and released her debut album SELF, recorded in a storage unit in L.A.

Going independent proved far more labor-intensive and financially challenging than expected. Over the years, she also established KeyMedia Public Relations, promoting both her own work and other creatives.

Throughout her career, Marsa has remained fiercely independent—writing, producing, and promoting her own material, while elevating emerging voices through her PR work. With “Company of Women,” she builds on this legacy, amplifying narratives often marginalized in mainstream music and pushing her sonic boundaries with fearless honesty.

Looking ahead to 2025, Marsa is focused on completing and releasing her fourth full-length album, RISK AND HEAL, which will further explore themes of identity, vulnerability, and personal growth. “Company of Women” stands as a bold, bridge-building anthem to this new chapter—rooted in lived experience and the kinds of connections that help us truly be seen.
