GRAMMY-Award winning artist Anderson .Paak and GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum rapper Cordae recently announced forthcoming collaborative album, Heavy Is the Crown, arriving October 23 via APESHIT + EMPIRE / Hi Level + Mass Appeal. Today, they share the first single and music video "A Good Day," which finds .Paak returning to his charismatic rap roots mixed with Cordae’s effortless flow as they trade witty bars. Built around a healthy dose of humor, "A Good Day" tips its hat to timeless musical touchstones – weaving in echoes of the classic "Lovely Day" record alongside the hype of Fatman Scoop's legendary adlibs. The result is a track that feels both nostalgic and fresh. That nostalgia, humor, and charisma carries over to the accompanying music video starring Jennifer Freeman that pays homage to cult classic film, Friday. To coincide with the forthcoming album, the duo have announced a robust physical offering with six retailer exclusive vinyl products covering Amazon to Indie Retail, and an animated zoetrope version for D2C. The collection is rounded out with a cassette and CD – the latter features a lenticular cover that showcases the album cover image transitioning into the pair fighting.
