Asta Bria is back from her No 4 UK dance chart topper with new track 'Virus'

Release date: TBC Label: Right Track Distribution

Hotfooting her No4 UK dance chart-topper of last summer with ‘Dragonfly’, UK singer/songwriter Asta Bria dives back into summer 2026 with a Køla remix of her original penning ‘Virus, live on Spotify from 11 August . Fresh, hypnotic and euphoric, this enraptured remix from Kola delivers an unseen vibe from Bria, as she slides deliciously into a summer of dance, with a sound that transcends both radio and clubland this Ibiza season.

Depicting an addictive viral-load, Bria penned ‘Virus’ with the intention of flipping our perception of the word on its head; a complete melodic U-Turn on everything that we’ve come to expect from a virus. Contradicting the negative trigger that humans now associate with the word, both through disease and computer viruses, Asta whips complete positivity into the meaning, spreading the virus of love across the world. The Køla remix melodically mesmerises, with a spellbinding trance-like loop-fusion of pounding bass, as Asta’s distinct vocals deliciously whip and weave their way hypnotically throughout the track, with the message ‘spread me across the world’. A perfect dance-floor slammer for this summer season, ‘Virus’ is a hands-in-the-air anthem that’ll see this track spreading like a positive-pandemic across clubs, bars and radio this year.

‘Virus’ is the first in a trilogy of new releases from global artist, Asta Bria. Originally written over 20 years ago, and co-produced by award winning UK-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, Pete Brazier, the track was seen as ahead of its time when first created, and confined to the vaults; until Bria signed to Right Track/Universal Music under a  new global distribution deal in 2024, and began to revisit her unreleased back catalogue. An EP of work was uncovered, with a sound and message that resonates even more today than when Bria wrote them in the early noughties. A Køla reworking brings ‘Virus’ raging onto 2026 dancefloors as the first in the trilogy for this  year – proving that Asta Bria is a force to be reckoned with.
