Kimmie Smith Set to Make Waves with Rein Me In

After spending the last decade entertaining audiences in clubs and bars across Manchester and Marbella, 27-year-old Kimmie Smith is stepping firmly into the spotlight with her infectious new single, Rein Me In.

Kimmie’s remarkable journey began in the most unlikely of circumstances. While working behind the bar at Manchester’s legendary gay club, Essential, a scheduled headline vocalist refused to perform. In a moment of inspiration, club manager Darren sent Kimmie on stage with the immortal words, “The sozzled queens will never know.”

They may not have realised the singer had changed, but they certainly recognised the talent.

That spontaneous performance launched Kimmie’s career, earning her regular appearances at some of Manchester’s most iconic venues, including Queer, Federation and Orange, where her powerhouse vocals and infectious stage presence quickly made her a firm favourite with club audiences.

The next chapter came while performing in Málaga, when acclaimed DJ production duo True Tactix saw Kimmie perform a high-energy drum and bass version of Rein Me In, a song that has dominated the UK charts, holding the No. 1 spot for more than four months. Instantly recognising her talent, they invited her to record the track, creating an electrifying new collaboration.

Kimmie is now undertaking a nationwide UK promotional PA tour before heading to Ibiza, where she will perform Rein Me In alongside True Tactix at a series of the island’s biggest end-of-season closing parties.

Take That’s creator and former manager, Nigel Martin-Smith, believes Kimmie is destined for bigger things.
