Loreen emerged as the victor at this year’s Melodifestivalen—as voted by fans. Now, she will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the buzzing global single “Tattoo. It marks a major milestone for the rising international singer, artist and force of nature!

Her arresting performance of “Tattoo” left a mark on the stage. With soaring vocals, eloquent lyrics, and otherworldly presence, she captivated the audience at Stockholm’s Friends Arena, inciting a standing ovation and groundswell of enthusiasm. Ultimately, this sealed her victory.

“Tattoo” only continues to pick up steam though. Loreen initially unveiled the song during the 4th Heat of Melodifestivalen. Thus far, it has exploded to the tune of 10 million Spotify streams and counting in addition to catapulting to #1 on the Sweden Top 50 Spotify Daily Chart and gracing the Top 50 of Daily Charts across Norway, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, and Iceland (where it reached #8). “Tattoo” also received acclaim from Billboard who touted the track among “Top 10 Cool New Pop Songs to Get You Through the Week” and noted, “Tattoo’ represents the cinematic, string-supported dance-pop sound that has historically struggled to connect with American audiences but tops charts overseas; hopefully, U.S. listeners will make an exception, and embrace a song as epic as ‘Tattoo.’

A video of Loreen’s performance on February 25th has also organically picked up over 2.8 million YouTube views, standing out as #1 on Trending in Sweden and #8 on Trending in Greece & 7 other European markets. It just paves the way for a whole lot more to come.

Since her breakthrough, Loreen has enchanted the audience with her fantastic voice, unique artistic expression, and captivating lyrics. She managed to touch people's hearts when she won the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with "Euphoria". The song became a worldwide hit and a sing-along classic, reaching the top of the charts in 21 countries. The immediate chorus, Loreen's expressive voice, and the unusual stage setting captured the heart of all of Europe. After being included in a collection of other prominent Swedes at the Stockholm Hall of Fame at Arlanda Airport in 2012, Loreen and "Euphoria" were also inducted into the Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame in 2020. The same year, Loreen participated in "Så Mycket Bättre" where she released music in Swedish for the first time. Loreen also made her acting debut in the new film adaptation of the book "Vinterviken", which was released in 2021. In 2022, Loreen released "Neon Lights," an electrifying pop song with sweeping synth loops that focus on a modern-day Joan of Arc, who tries to save the world. Loreen is exploring different aspects of the alpha woman in various songs and using music to convey her message. Loreen wants to continue using music to challenge the audience with messages of inclusion and representation.
