Waking Up Dreaming in the brand new single from global megastar SHANIA TWAIN!
Five-time GRAMMY Award-winning legend and the best-selling female artist in country music history, Shania Twain, has unveiled her first new single since 2017: “Waking Up Dreaming”. Also released today is an accompanying music video, directed by Isaac Rentz.
Shania said: “Every time I get to announce something like this I get such a rush of adrenaline and nerves - it never gets old. I've spent the last couple years working away on new music... on my documentary... on the Vegas residency and it's been such a creatively fulfilling time for me, I can't wait for this next chapter and Waking Up Dreaming is just the start.”
“Waking Up Dreaming” marks Shania’s first release since 2017’s critically acclaimed, Now, which debuted at #1 on the UK Album Chart and the Billboard Top 200. She continues to be one of the most popular artists in the UK and globally, with over 46.7 million album sales and 10.7 billion streams globally. Her third studio album, Come On Over, is the UK’s 16th biggest selling album of all time.
The new single also arrives on the heels of her blockbuster, career-spanning Netflix documentary, Not Just A Girl. Produced by Mercury Studios and directed by Joss Crowley, it was accompanied by a compilation album, Not Just A Girl (The Highlights), available HERE.
