Princess Nokia releases hot new track and makes it look like "No Effort"

Release date: Out now Label: Sony
Today, Princess Nokia releases hypnotically catchy “No Effort” reminiscent of rap from the early aughts. “No Effort” sees Princess Nokia true to form, tapping into her unapologetically brash roots.
“No Effort” is released alongside a music video directed by Travis Libin that sees Princess Nokia and her squad hanging out alongside the StuntGuyz BMX crew with an East Harlem skatepark as their backdrop. It’s reminiscent of the video for “Tomboy” from the 1992 Deluxe era, marking a return to form with a fresh spin, infusing the pop gloss of recent RIAA certified Gold single “I Like Him” with her signature “bossed-up” (Billboard) experimental rap hooks.
Coming up this spring, Princess Nokia will perform at Coachella, followed by a hometown Madison Square Garden show with Haim, and the release of a benefit compilation album for Record Store Day alongside Taylor Swift.
New York-born Puerto Rican MC, singer, songwriter, style icon, actress, and activist Princess Nokia continues to ascend. In the past year, she released “sumptuous rush of confidence” (New York Times) “Boys Are From Mars” with Yung Baby Tate and “striking” (Vogue) “It’s Not My Fault” for her major label debut via Arista, and hit the road for her first-ever US headlining tour including festival stops at Gov Ball in NYC and Lollapalooza. Celine’s Spring/Summer ‘21 fashion show was set to her first-ever RIAA certified Gold single “I Like Him” after she collaborated with Celine’s iconic designer Hedi Slimane for the collection. She performed on the new Gossip Girl and appeared in Kacey Musgraves’ star-crossed, and featured on Ashnikko’s Tik Tok smash “Slumber Party.”
