London-based writer/producer Az Mia drops a massive House bomb, ‘Maniac’, released 24th July. 

Az Mia had been working alongside writers and artists at the major publishers for several years before an A&R at Sony ATV convinced him to pursue an artist project.  Having learnt so much about the craft of music production and writing from working with ‘The Invisible Men’ (Britney Spears, Iggy Azaelea, DJ Fresh, Sigala) and Mike Kintish (MK, Jonas Blue) Az is ready to put all the influences, tips and tricks into his own music.

Finally it’s time for Az to step forward, and what better way to welcome him than with ‘Maniac’. Built around the chorus from the iconic 80s track of the same name - as made famous by Michael Sembello/Flashdance – Az teams up with songwriters Mike Kintish (MK, Becky Hill), Commands (Anne-Marie, Charli XCX), and producer Like Son to create a huge summer House banger. Aside from the obvious nods to the past, Az has managed to produce a standalone iconic track himself, with new licks, a weight House backbeat and vocal hooks, that are undoubtedly equally as catchy as the original.
