Bringing back the magic of the classic 80s Miami party sound with a fresh new twist is no easy feat. But for producer/arranger/singer/songwriter Ron Louis Smith 2nd, help came in the form of some new friends on his latest track “Forever Spank” – with italy’s own edm/house producers Daddy’s Groove
As the son of Ron Louis Smith and nephew of Jerome Smith - renowned for their role as the ‘heart and soul’ of the legendary KCSB horn and rhythm sections (as well as numerous musical contributions outside the band like playing on Bob Marley’s “Buffalo Soldier”, records like Jimmy Bo Horne’s “Dance Across the Floor” and Betty Wright’s “Explosion”), Ron Louis Smith II is no stranger to his family legacy. Steeped in everything from Disco to Funk, Reggae to Soul and much more - he’s bringing some of that magic right back with his latest single.
Taking the helm on “Forever Spank”, Daddy's Groove is an Italian house music group formed by Carlo Grieco and Peppe Folliero. Based in Naples, Italy, Daddy's Groove has truly pioneered an iconic sound, blending house and electro seamlessly. Since 2011 they are essential part of David Guetta production team. Daddy's Groove has co-produced and remixed music for artists like Axwell and also they have been working with pop acts like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Sia, Nicki Minaj, Celine Dion, Bruno Mars, Sean Paul, Usher and more. They have latest singles released alongside Bob Sinclar, Kryder, and Tom Staar and scored several top10 positions on Beatport in just a few months. In 2016 Daddy's Groove entered the DJ Mag top 100 as first time ever confirming also a great ranking in 2018.
They are signed to the worldwide leading independent label, Spinnin Records . They have a residency at the prestigious Pacha nightclub, and they have also gone on multiple world tours.
