Leading with an echoed vocal from Emie and lyrics recognisable from the Eminem-and-Dido- classic ‘Stan’ the bass then kicks in, edging the track on the deeper end of experimental house with Ilkay Sencan’s self-styled ‘future bass’ sound shining through. A modern edge combined with an underground feel that’s driven by the pumping kick and aggressive bassline, ‘Not So Bad’ is both a club-ready and radio-primed hit.
