Analogue People in a Digital World

Friday 17th June 2011

The Analog People In A Digital World are back around again. With guns still blazing
from their recent soundclash with Tim Deluxe and Sam Obernik ‘Just Won’t Do’ killing it
on Beatport and topping DMC Buzz Chart and Mainstream Chart and Music Week
Club Chart and Cool Cuts Chart last Summer, APDW team up again with chanteuse
Sam Obernik, and here’s what’s what… They have indeed done it again and they have
delivered one of the most distinctive club bombs of the year with their brand new single ‘Liar’.
They have recorded solid beats and bongo, Flamenco guitars and big band brass that saw
rewinds in ‘Just Won’t Do’ to make ‘Liar’ totally on the money for Ibiza sunsets. Catchy as
hell this is a super Summer feel good track set to stand out from the crowd!
‘Liar’ comes with some extraordinaire remixes courtesy of Gramophonedzie, Reset! and
2 Guys In Venice... After his collaboration with Joey Negro, Balkan House maestro
Gramophonedzie comes in proper and true to form and delivers a storming, ultra catchy
Unexpected Remix with an extremely energetic groove and a little gypsy vibe… With a new
EP out now on Cheap Thrills and remixes in the bag for artists such as Fatboy Slim &
Herve, Robyn, Cassius and Fenech Soler to say Italian DJ and producer collective
Reset! are busy might be an understandement… They are becoming renowned for their
unique brand of stomping party music and this clubbed up, floor destructive Remix makes no
exception but crowds go off… Finally we’ve handed the precious parts to Italian wonderkids
2 Guys In Venice, whose ‘Midnight Run EP’ on Spiller’s Nano Rec was heavily
supported by Annie Mac, Busy P and Crookers earlier this year, and they continue a rich
vein of form with their explosive and masterful disco shake up… An all in all great package!
‘Liar’ is taken from the eagerly anticipated Analog People In A Digital World debut
Album ‘Brassaholics’ due for release this Summer on Ego. Drawing inspiration from Jazz and
House to Balkan and Flamenco, ‘Brassaholics’ shows APDW’s depth of musical
knowledge, with the help of brilliant collaborators such as Cagedbaby, Vlada Tomova
(Balkan Beat Box), Tim Deluxe, Gramophonedzie, AFFKT & Pirupa, X-Press 2,
Ralf and Italian Electronica Popstar Meg, DJ Sneak and Ian Pooley, Tom Flynn and
Candi Staton. While you have it exclusively… Use it well!
