In The Thick of It” is the first single from the long awaited new Joey Negro and the Sunburst Band album “The Secret Life of Us”.

A beautifully crafted piece of summery soulful disco (originally recorded by Brenda Russell), the single features the lovely Angela Johnson on vocals – who really nails it with her performance. As for the track, check out the majestic live strings giving a subtle elegance, while Julian Crampton is killing it Bernard Edwards style on the bass.

Produced by the mighty Dave Lee (aka Joey Negro), this is shaping up to be one THE vocal cuts of 2012
