Check out this great new interview with Sunshine Anderson talking about the new album The Sun Shines Again to soul.music.com.
Says Sunshine about theme of the album:
“… I didn’t set out for this album to be a relationship album, I just did what felt good. I tell people, “You can’t talk about sunshine and happiness—if it ain’t sunshine and happiness.” People always say, especially the guys, “Why are you so hard on us, and why you this, and why you that?” You have to speak from your heart first, okay? It’s like… I’m a person that… I have to cry, okay? I have to cry and I have to get that good cry out first, and after that, then I can see clearly. Then, okay, “now what we gotta do, Sunshine?” So you’ve got to get the hurt and the pain out first before you can have hope.”
