This August we're talking about...
Jumpstar ft Ron Carroll "We Did Alright" | Cr2 |
23 Aug 2014
Who would have thought that a random encounter in a bar a few years back would lead to one of the biggest hits of the summer!!
Both accomplished producers in their own right, french Will and british Pete met a few years back and bonded over their love of music. With a collaboration on the cards, it never came about due to the busy schedule of both. However, a few years later down the line the boys bumped in to each other at their local shop. It turns out they live on the same road and within no time they jumped in the studio and wrote "We Did Alright"! Knowing they needed a vocal they sent it to the Legendary Ron Carrol....the rest as they say is history!
With Danny Howard giving the track its world exclusive on radio 1 and some incredible remixes on the way, this is going to be the soundtrack to the summer!
1. We Did Alright - Jam Xpress Remix
2. We Did Alright - Henrix and Sevag Remix
3. We Did Alright - Knuckle G Remix
4. We Did Alright - Radio Mix
5. We Did Alright - Instrumental

Billon "Special" [Rinse]
15 Aug 2014
Billon was formed by London based producers Ed Butler and Robbie Lamond at the start of 2013. Combining cutting edge production and a stack of classic analogue synths, Billon create a sound that both nods to the past and looks to the future of electronic music, drawing influence from classic house, techno and UK garage.
They have released two well-received EP’s on Rinse, getting support along the way from Annie Mac, Skream, Mistajam, EZ, Bondax, MK and Dusky amongst many others
The new single ‘Special’ sees the lads team up with US vocalist and Pharrell Williams signing, Maxine Ashley, for a crowd pleasing summer anthem.
Look out for a slew of amazing Billon remixes being rolled out over the summer too, including Katy B “Still”, Ella Eyre “If I Go”, Kiesza “Giant In My Heart” and Wankelmut & Emma Louise “My Head is a Jungle”
