Lonsdale Boys Club
Instantly memorable, the summer tinged pop-sounds of ‘Ready To Go’ mix contemporary high-end production with the DIY nostalgia of crackling cassette tapes and uplifting, honest lyrics.
One of the first songs written by the band (Charlie, Topher and Loz), in their own words ‘Ready To Go’ is “a snap shot of intensity; climatic and triumphant.” With lyrics such as “I heard you scream I want it, let's rumble plate tectonic, darling you just set me free” and “She’s danger, danger on the bedroom floor”, Lonsdale Boys Club have succeeded in their wish to write a “a banging pop anthem with singalong ability!”
With a steamy video shot in Malaga, and starring the gorgeous Caggie Dunlop from Made In Chelsea, ‘Ready To Go’ is an infectious blend of synth pop and danceable modern production from S*A*M & Sluggo (Katy Perry, Train, Gym Class Heroes).
Lonsdale Boys Club have a busy summer lined up. Having already performed at T4 On The Beach and T in The Park, they will return to the capital for their own headline show at the O2 Islington Academy on August 14th, while they have also just been announced as the support for Jessie J at Camden Roundhouse for the iTunes Festival on September 21st.
In an iTunes-lead music world where barriers between genres simply don't exist anymore, Lonsdale Boys Club are a band of their time. They’ve collaborated with Yasmin, Sway and Wretch 32, while providing remixes for the likes of A*M*E. “We try to reflect what's going on and it's so uncommon to have people stuck in a genre because it's just about music now”. Their sound is a melting pot of ideas created by three young guys who are fully aware that their different tastes are what fuel their uniqueness. Somehow, like the perfect kind of chemistry, it all comes together to make pop music that simultaneously feels of its time and timeless, complex yet instant – and definitely the soundtrack for summer.
