Pop music icon Cyndi Lauper will release her highly-anticipated new album Bring Ya To The Brink on RCA Label Group / Sony BMG, 15th September.
The album features collaborations with top producers; Basement Jaxx, Kleerup (UK No.1 Single 'With Every Heartbeat' feat. Robyn), Axwell (known for his club remixes of The Clipse, Madonna and Nelly Furtado), The Scum Frog (Britney Spears, Kylie and David Bowie), and electro pop band Dragonette.
Cyndi, well known for her vocally superior and emotionally intense live performances, will be heading out to celebrate the second year of her 25-city True Colors Tour. The tour, which raises awareness about gay rights, features icons like B-52s, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts as well as up and coming acts like Tegan and Sara, The Cliks, Regina Spektor and many more. On Bring Ya To The Brink Cyndi maintains her total immersion in the creative process, co-writing and co-producing every track including "Into The Lightlife" co-produced with Peer Astrom, who has written and produced for Madonna, Celine Dion and Enrique Iglesias. The 12 songs on Bring Ya To The Brink showcase Cyndi's matured songwriting while taking her music in an exciting new direction.
After winning the Grammy in 1985 for best new artist and becoming the first artist in history to have five top ten singles from a debut album, Cyndi Lauper continues to garner critical acclaim as a singer, musician, actor and writer. Cyndi has released 12 albums, over 40 singles and has sold more than 25 million records world wide. She has been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards, 2 Emmy Awards, 2 American Music Awards, 7 American Video Awards, 18 MTV awards.
