After the massive success of debut single ‘Faded’ and it’s follow up ‘Sing Me To Sleep’, MTV EMA winner & platinum-selling producer Alan Walker is back with his brand new single ‘Alone’, due for release on 2nd December via Relentless.
The UK-born, Norwegian producer’s latest single looks set to build on the success of his previous singles; ‘Alone’ encapsulates the signature melodic style he’s become known for. “To me, ‘Alone’ is a song about togetherness. A song that praises the feeling and comfort of solidarity. When I started doing music it was never about being someone, but about creating something for others to enjoy with me. The unity I’ve experienced through making music and sharing it with people is incredible”. - Alan Walker
Released this time last year, ‘Faded’ catapulted Alan into the limelight and topped the Global Shazam chart for 7 consecutive weeks, in addition to spearheading several charts across Europe. ‘Faded’ also peaked at #7 on the UK Official Charts - later becoming one of the best-selling singles of the year. Alan’s debut has since sold over 9.4 million units worldwide, has collectively amassed over 1.3 billion streams and has subsequently received gold and platinum status in more than 23 countries. ‘Sing Me To Sleep’ also saw similarly impressive figures with almost 100 million Spotify streams and over 130 million video plays.
Elsewhere, Alan’s rework of Sia’s ‘Move Your Body’ was included in the Australian singer’s re-release of her album, ‘This Is Acting’, which marked the third remix for the Norwegian producer. He’s previously released notable renditions of Coldplay’s ‘Hymn For The Weekend and CashCash & Digital Farm Animals’ ‘Millionaire’.
Playing massive shows across Europe this summer, including Tomorrowland, Creamfields and Lollapalooza Berlin, Alan also supported R&B heavyweight Rihanna on the European leg of her ANTI World Tour. This February, Alan will return to Europe as part of his 2017 Walker Tour, kicking off in Amsterdam and will work its way across Europe, making a stop at London’s Heaven along the way.
