Luis Fonsi & Stefflon Don release ace new single "Calypso"

After releasing the ultimate record-breaking song “Despacito” and his latest hit “Echame La Culpa”, Luis Fonsi returns with a new summer anthem “Calypso”, featuring British-Jamaican rapper Stefflon Don. The self-proclaimed ‘Don’ goes on to explain “As soon as I heard Calypso I loved it. Soooo excited Luis asked me to be on the song with him” and rightfully so, as the “Hurtin Me” hitmaker brings with her some extra spice to the already upbeat song. Together the pair have delivered a trailblazing track ready to ignite dancefloors all over the world.

Written by Luis Fonsi, Dyo, Mauricio Rengifo, Andrés Torres and Stefflon Don, “Calypso” is the ultimate Caribbean cocktail, bursting with heaps of flavour and the right concentration of Latin heat. Mixed with authentic West Indian vibes the track produced by Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo leaves no room for procrastination, going straight in for the kill with tropical percussion, a thumping baseline and a chorus you can sing along to, even if your Spanish is only as good as “Uno, Dos, Tres……CALYPSO!!”  

The track scheduled for release on 15^th June launches with stunning visual set in Fonsi’s native Puerto Rico, famous for its non-stop party scene and beautiful white beaches. Directed by Carlos Pérez, the video captures the same sexy sizzle as Fonsi’s 2017 mega hit “Despecito”, YouTube’s most viewed video of all time with a record breaking 5 billion views! No surprise there, as Pérez directed the smash hit video and has a natural flare for showcasing “where the party at” literally!
