Krippy Kush (Farruko x Nicki Minaj x Travis Scott x Bad Bunny x Rvssian Remix)

Release date: TBC Label: Ministry Of Sound

Puerto Rican singer/ songwriter Farruko has unveiled the official video for the very special reworking of his own hit single ‘Krippy Kush’, with his original so far amassing a whopping 90 million Spotify streams. The track has dominated charts all over the world, peaking at the #5 spot on “Hot Latin Songs,” with the official video release of the Nicki Minaj & Travis Scott version attracting over 20 million YouTube views within a fortnight. In the Latin Region, the single reached the Top 5 on radio charts in Panama, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Chile, Guatemala, Peru, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Bolivia, and Costa Rica.

Roping in the skills of internationally acclaimed rap superstar Nicki Minaj, and global hip-hop phenomenon Travis Scott, the latest version of Farruko’s production is a vibrant and dynamic remix, with the accompanying video focusing on shots of all artists spinning lyrics across the production, across several settings and locations.

Having started his career in reggaeton, singer/songwriter Farruko fuses elements of hip-hop and Spanish-trap to create an artistically fluid sound, having previously collaborated with the likes of J Balvin and Daddy Yankee.

“I am so happy for the support we have received with the song,” says Farruko. “We never expected it to become so viral but the good thing is that we showed that Latin trap is here to stay, redefine the urban genre, and even capture the attention of the general market.”

His recent album TrapXficante, featuring today’s top Latam players (Bad Bunny, Anuel AA, Fetty Wap, Jacob Forever), has helped cement him as one of the most respected artists in Latin Urban music, and serves as follow up to his platinum-certified album Visionary, which included the multi-platinum hit singles Chillax (6x platinum), Obsesionado (4x platinum) and Sunset (4x platinum).

Having gone viral with the #KrippyKushChallenge, which started when fans, and celebrities such as Lebron James and Arturo Vidal, began uploading videos imitating the dance from the single’s official music video across social media, ‘Krippy Kush’ has carved a reputation as a timeless anthem featuring Jamaican producer  Tarik ‘Rvssian’ Johnston and rising Latin star Bad Bunny. With Nicki and Travis joining forces on this high powered remix, the production has become one of the most notable crossover collaborations of the year.
