Tuesday 22nd November 2016

Drum

Release date: TBC Label: Sony Music

MØ debuts her massive new single, Drum, out now to stream and buy via Chess Club / RCA Victor. Co-written by MØ with Charli XCX, Noonie Bao and BloodPop (the latter of whom also produced), Drum is the follow up to MØ’s global hit Final Song and was debuted as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World on BBC Radio 1 last night, on the eve of MØ’s first ever full UK tour, starting in Brighton on 11 October and culminating in her biggest headline show at London’s iconic Roundhouse on 22 October.

“Drum is about setting each other free,”says MØ. “Whether it's an old friend, a lover, a lifetime partner or even yourself, it’s about letting go in order to pursue your dreams, for better or worse. Sometimes we have to accept that we might not have a plan, but that we have to figure out our own shit - take the punches and get stronger - and the same goes for those we care about."

MØ, AKA Karen Marie Ørsted, is one of the fastest rising pop stars on the planet. The co-writer and voice of the worldwide smash Major Lazer tracks Cold Water and Lean On - the latter the most-streamed song ever on Spotify - is currently putting the finishing touches to her eagerly anticipated second album, due for release in 2017. It will be the follow up to her debut album No Mythologies To Follow, released in 2014 to rave reviews. In the two years since, MØ has played sold out tours and won over festival crowds worldwide. She has just begun a major worldwide tour, starting in Brussels last week and taking in shows across the UK, Europe and the US throughout November and December.

And you have this massive tune to hammer out to the max. Time is of the essence so please push hard and fast guys!
